Senator GmbH is a leading manufacturer of promotional products with an international dealer network. All product data and translations lived in extensive Excel files. More and more dealers asked for an API, and some new clients would not even work together without one.
Thousands of items, neatly managed in multilingual spreadsheets, but no digital way to share that data. Dealers copied product information by hand. That was error-prone and time-consuming, and stock information was often outdated before it reached the dealer.
The biggest problem: new partnerships fell through because dealers simply expected an API. Without one, Senator was missing out on clients.
